Take part in HSENI and DAERA chemicals Brexit stakeholder event in Northern Ireland

* UK-EU.jpgThe Health & Safety Executive Northern Ireland (HSENI) and The Department of Agriculture, Environment & Rural Affairs (DAERA) will be hosting a one-day stakeholder event covering Brexit and its impact on chemical regimes in a no-deal scenario.

The event will be presented by speakers from HSE (GB) and the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and will include information on the Registration Evaluation Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals (REACH), Plant Protection Products (PPP), Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) and Classification Labelling and Packaging (CLP) regimes.

It is hoped that there will also be presentations from HMRC and the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) dealing with customs administration, border processes and logistics as well as issues affecting supply chains, tariffs and rules of origin.

The event will be an opportunity to hear the latest state of play, and will build on the ongoing engagement in which HSE and DEFRA have been involved.

The event will be held in the Conference Centre at CAFRE Greenmount Campus, Antrim, Northern Ireland on Tuesday 26th February 2019. Registration is from 09:15 and the event will start at 10:00 and finish at 16:00.

Refreshments on arrival and lunch will be provided.

Please register your interest by Tuesday 19th February 2019. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
