Exeter businessman scoops Ecocleen's Franchisee of the Year Award
Exeter-based entrepreneur Jim Humphrey has been crowned Franchisee of the Year by commercial contract cleaning provider Ecocleen. He received the Mike Tewnion Award at the company's recent Franchise Network Event having generated significant business growth within the South West region during the past 12 months and securing Ecocleen's largest ever single-site cleaning contract.
"I am honoured to receive this award, which is recognition for all the hard work put in, not just by myself, but the entire cleaning team in the South West region," comments Jim Humphrey. "I was completely new to the industry, but with the support of the central management team at Ecocleen, we have been able to develop a successful business that has amazing prospects for the future."
Jim took-over the franchise two years ago and is now responsible for the Ecocleen business in the South West of England. In the past year, he has grown the business by over 160% and created around 40 jobs within the region. In particular, he secured the cleaning contract for one of the largest worker campus developments in Europe at the site of the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station near Bridgwater, Somerset. Prior to joining Ecocleen, Jim spent more than 22 years with the Devon and Cornwall Police.

Through his commitment to working closely with customers to provide high levels of service, he has consistently produced great results, so this is richly deserved accolade.
"We have renamed the award this year after Mike Tewnion, a model franchisee who sadly passed away last year. It is a fitting tribute to someone that made such a positive contribution to the franchise network."
