Kärcher to open new facility near Denver, Colorado next September

* Karcher-Denver.jpgKärcher and the Aurora Economic Development Council are teaming up for a new Region North America headquarter facility in Aurora, near Denver, Colorado, which is due to open in September 2019. The manufacturer says its next step is to improve the US operation's footprint to ensure competitiveness and sustainable growth:

"Innovation is top of mind with Kärcher's plan to optimise advanced manufacturing capabilities, with new technologies such as digital and automation where appropriate," says Javier Gonzalez, CEO Region North America. "In doing so, it will also position us for future innovation and growth/expansion, not just US but globally."

The move will position Kärcher to operate more effectively and efficiently in terms of production, distribution, quality and purchasing. It will also allow for improved customer experience with regard to quality, availability, visibility and support. It maximises operational assets and capabilities.

Specifically, it will optimise the work/production flow and manufacturability, maximise utilisation of assets, and allow Kärcher to remain efficient in manufacturing in order to be competitive in the market with cleaning solutions.

The new location is testament to the investment Kärcher is making with its US manufacturing initiatives and customer offerings. The move from Camas, Washington and new build will consolidate and capitalise on engineering resources and operational excellence for the company and its customers. The new 380,000sq.ft facility will be Kärcher owned and designed.

Wendy Mitchell, president and CEO of AEDC, says of the move: "We're thrilled to be welcoming Kärcher into the community as a partner. Aurora is a prime location for global companies to grow because of the connectivity that the City can offer through its proximity to DEN."

Kärcher North America is one of the largest subsidiaries of the Kärcher Group with over 1,150 employees. In North America, Kärcher produces and distributes products and services under the brands Kärcher, Windsor Kärcher Group, Landa Kärcher Group, Hotsy, Water Maze, Spraymart, Cuda Kärcher Group, WOMA Kärcher Group and Shark Kärcher Group.
