Mitie secures two-year extension with Vodafone
Mitie has been awarded a two-year extension to its existing facilities management contract with Vodafone UK. This extension, which begins on 1st April 2020, follows an initial six-year contract and involves such services as cleaning, waste, security, catering, energy management, project work, and planned & reactive mechanical and electrical maintenance across c. 1,250 properties across the UK, including data centres, corporate buildings and retail stores.
The initial contract period achieved substantial savings for Vodafone, reducing cost by over 15% of the contract value by changing the service design. Mitie will deploy its connected workplace technology to further increase efficiencies.
Mitie continues to deliver a World Class service for Vodafone as showcased by its Hospitality Assured accreditation achievements over the last two years. This is further underpinned by the team winning the 2018 Team of the Year Award at the Hospitality Assured 20th Anniversary award ceremony, beating outstanding competition from across the globe.
