ISS divesting Netherlands non-core cleaning portfolio to Dutch contractor CSU
ISS is divesting its non-core single-service cleaning portfolio in the Netherlands to Dutch cleaning company CSU. The divestment concerns approximately 70 Dutch customers and, pending approval from the Netherlands Authority of Consumer and Markets (ACM), will see the transfer of around 2,200 employees to CSU.
Kees Stroomer, country manager, ISS Netherlands, says of the move:
"The divestment of this single-service cleaning customer portfolio is in line with our strategy of focusing on large national and international key account customers and on creating value through integrated facility management solutions to these customers."
In CSU, ISS found a high-quality and reliable partner with national coverage in the Netherlands. As one of the largest cleaning companies in the Netherlands, CSU is well-known and a respected market operator with experience in integrating activities from acquisitions, ensuring continuity for customers as well as employees. As an example, CSU successfully integrated a number of SME cleaning customers from ISS at the end of last year.
The transaction remains subject to approval from the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) and is expected to close November 2018.
CSU is a national cleaning company operating from a number of branches across the Netherlands; the main ones being in Uden, Amsterdam, Apeldoorn, Eindhoven, Rijswijk and Barendrecht. The organisation employs 14,000 people and is among the top three cleaning companies in the Netherlands.
