Mitie Landscapes strengthens NHS partnerships with a double win
Mitie's Landscaping business has been awarded two new ground maintenance contracts with the NHS in the South West of England. The contracts with Devon Partnership NHS Trust and South-Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust are together worth £675,000 over five-year terms.
For South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT), Mitie will deliver a range of landscaping services across 72 sites in Gloucester, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, Devon and Cornwall.
This includes ground maintenance services and tree management services. This is the first time South Western Ambulance has brought these services together under one single contract.
Mitie will continue to invest in new technology as part of the contract using its Live Landscapes web portal which is designed to provide live data and management information across the estate. This will facilitate performance monitoring by site whilst providing downloadable reports which highlight issues, trends and other key data.
Mitie's new responsibilities for Devon Partnership NHS Trust will involve the delivery of grounds maintenance to 21 sites across Devon, managing grass cutting, plant bedding and weed control services as well as tree, hedge and shrub maintenance. This is in addition to Mitie's existing contract with the Trust for gritting which started in January 2018.

Mitie Landscapes looks after 10,750 sites across the UK. It offers a range of specialist services including grounds maintenance, landscaping, gritting, snow clearance, interior office plants and Christmas decoration services.
