Bio-Productions: planting trees to support the environment

* Planting-trees.jpgBio-Productions has received word from the Green Earth Appeal team, which recently returned from overseeing the cleaning products manufacturer's joint campaign with The Green Organisation in Tanzania, that the important reforestation project there is now well underway.

Bio-Productions tells us it is proud to have planted eight trees this month, to demonstrate its long-term commitment to helping the environment. Since becoming a Green Organisation member, the company has planted a total of 132 trees under the auspices of the Green Earth Appeal and the United Nations Billion Tree Campaign.

The trees are planted where the need is greatest around the world to provide benefits such as: food, fuel, shelter, farming opportunities, wildlife habitat, absorbing carbon dioxide, education, preventing desertification etc.

"The Green Organisation would like to thank you for your effective and ongoing commitment to helping to improve the environment for generations to come," said founder/managing director Roger Wolens, presenting a certificate.

"Congratulations on your achievements thus far."

The Green Organisation began in 1994. An independent, international, non-profit, non-political environment group dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice around the world, it organises the green world Awards in a different country every year. Its annual Green Book work of reference on environmental best practice is distributed free of charge around the globe.

The Green Apple Environment Awards are presented every year at the Houses of Parliament, Palace of Westminster, London.
