* Avidbots-Compass-Canada.jpgAvidbots has announced that Compass Group has purchased the Neo self-driving floor cleaning robot to enhance cleaning productivity and performance for its clients. The initial deployment is through the Eurest Services facilities management company for its education-based clients with deployment to other business units in 2018.

The Avidbots Neo integrates state of the art navigation technology with hardware that is designed for ease of use, longevity, serviceability, safety, and high productivity.

"The Neo has proven to be a cost-effective and productive tool for our operations team, allowing us to maintain our commitment to continuous improvement and innovation for our clients," says Paul Rocha, VP Operations for Eurest Services. "Compass Group is excited to offer this innovative technology to the many industries we serve, including education, healthcare, sports and leisure, defense, and commercial businesses."

Neo will allow Compass/Eurest to reduce costs, improve the productivity of the cleaning teams, and position themselves at the forefront of facilities management innovation. The autonomous robot handles the repetitive and tedious task of cleaning large floor areas, reducing worker fatigue and enhancing job satisfaction.

Faizan Sheikh, CEO of Avidbots , says of the deal: "We are proud to partner with a leader in facilities management and look forward to helping Compass Group leverage the power of robotics for their many clients.

"Deploying the Neo to its diverse clients in order to enhance productivity and service compliments the Avidbots vision of bringing robots to everyday life to expand human potential."

The Avidbots Neo is currently deployed on five continents, servicing some of the world's leading shopping malls, airports, education facilities, healthcare centers, manufacturing sites and other commercial spaces, in such countries as Canada, US, France, Norway, UAE, Singapore, Japan and Australia.
