Two new representatives join CHSA Council
Kimberly-Clark Professional has been re-elected and RPC bpi recycled products elected onto the Cleaning & Hygiene Suppliers Association Council. The appointments were made at the AGM, held recently at the House of Commons, resulting in two new representatives joining the Council.
Caroline Stanley (pictured, left), UK marketing leader, will represent Kimberley-Clark Professional, and Lorcan Mekitarian (pictured, below right), sales director, will represent RPC bpi recycled products.
Bunzl, Harrison Wipes and Jangro were also re-elected; David Cousins, Stephen Harrison and Jeremy Thorn, respectively, continuing to represent these companies.
"We're delighted to welcome two new colleagues to the Council," says Stephen Harrison, chairman of the CHSA. "The Council has achieved a great deal on behalf of the CHSA. Our Accreditation Schemes sustain standards, we secured Stephen Kerr MP as our voice in Parliament, have invited industry-leading speakers to share their insights and provided valuable information on topics ranging from the GDPR to regulations governing the sale of chemicals.
"It is important we continue to evolve and deliver for our members. With this in mind Caroline and Lorcan will make excellent additions to the Council, bringing a new perspective and fresh ideas. I am delighted to welcome them on board and look forward to their contribution."
Explaining his passion for the CHSA and its objectives, Lorcan Mekitarian says: "The CHSA's Accreditation Schemes matter to the industry. Some of our customers are not experts in the products and our membership of the Accreditation Scheme means they don't have to be. They just need to look for the marque to be certain they are getting the quality product promised on the label.
"As a member of the CHSA Council I am now in a position to support actively this and other initiatives that will drive forward our industry and provide real commercial benefits to members. I am excited by the potential ahead."
Caroline's marketing expertise will be a valuable addition to the CHSA Council. "The CHSA is highly respected in our sector," she says. "An important focus for the CHSA is the engagement with the end users and procurers of cleaning and hygiene products. My marketing expertise in both the consumer and business-to-business environments will help us make sure our campaigns are successful.
"I am looking forward to working with my colleagues in the industry and making a positive contribution."
