Expansion is coming to Selden...
Selden Research tells us it is in the process of expanding its existing Buxton site and that the work - due for completion during September this year - involves the construction of a four-storey, 15,000sq.ft new administration centre, laboratory and customer training facility.
The company's 3,500 pallet bay warehouse has recently been completed and is now fully operational; bringing the total covered pallet storage capacity to 9,500.
The new 3,767sq.ft laboratory is state of the art, with purpose designed equipment, a microbiological research facility and a virus research facility; further developing the core of Selden; research and development of new products and finding new ways to hygienically clean hard surfaces.
Part of the lab will be certified to a GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) accredited facility - an essential process of gathering data for Biocidal Products Regulations and other future regulatory hurdles.
"Our new administration centre will make the company more efficient, easier to deal with and enable it to continue to provide excellent support to its customers", says sales director Mark Woodhead.
The top floor of the new building consists of a new customer centre of excellence complete with video training suite, training theatre and product demonstration zone: increasing the company's contact with customers throughout the entire supply chain. It will also help to ensure products are used in safer, better and more environmentally sustainable ways.
Online training and technical advice will be available all the way to the end user.
