Dean played for clubs including Liverpool, Aston Villa, Derby County, Nottingham Forest and Benfica and gained 75 senior caps for Wales. He was one of his country's most prolific goalscorers, scoring the first of his 22 goals on his debut as a 21-year old.

Dean is now one of the UK's most popular sports personalities, appearing on Sky Sports and TalkSport. With plenty of great stories to tell, he will entertain Golf Day attendees after dinner. But that's not all...

You can sponsor him to play in your team. His handicap is 6, so he could be what you need to get amongst the winners! It's first come first served, so if you want Dean to play in your team, contact Linda Belcher now!

The event, which is taking is taking place on Thursday, 13th September, is moving to a stunning new venue this year - Rockliffe Hall, Hurworth-on-Tees, Darlington.

Designed by Hawtree, the world-renowned course architect, Rockliffe Hall's 18-hole championship course is one of the most challenging in Europe. While it presents a stern test for even the best professional golfer, the five individual tee boxes on each hole offer players of all abilities the chance to experience the challenge.

"We're looking forward to the challenges of this wonderful course," says Shaun Chatterton, CHSA council member and the driving force behind the golf day. "Our members and their guests have come to expect the very best in terms of facilities and, at Rockliffe Hall, they won't be disappointed.

A great day for networking with colleagues in the industry, there is also plenty for non-golfers to do during the day. A dedicated package includes a treatment at the award-winning spa and access to the facilities throughout the day.

The CHSA's successful partnership with the Yorkshire Professional Golfers Association continues, with every team playing with a member of the Association. Your professional will be on hand throughout your round to give you valuable tips and advice.

The evening will again be hosted by comedian Jed Stone, thought by many to be one of the most versatile comedians and entertainers in the UK. He regularly appears on TV and radio and has performed on major UK tours, private corporate functions and sporting events.

The CHSA's Golf Day always generates a great deal for charity. In 2017, almost £4,000 was was raised for the Chairman's Charity, the Royal National Institute of Blind People. The RNIB offers practical and emotional support to people who are losing their sight or are blind or partially sighted, helping them face the future with confidence.

A range of exciting sponsorship opportunities exist.
