TomCat's new scrubbers are easy to operate and have a wealth of features
TomCat's new EX 29 - 34" scrubbers are attracting attention and one of their key benefits is that they require little training to be able to operate them successfully. For example, the machine control panel uses off-the-shelf toggle and marine duty switches featuring universal icons which simplifies training, and the squeegee adjustments have been made simple with tool-less maintenance of the squeegee blade.
The illuminated Service Cabinet allows easy access in one place for solution filter, vac box unloader, vacuum discharge, suds drain, ozone system solution filter, and battery drain. Further, the fill system features a retractable hose for easy filling on standard sink-faucets and a stainless screen for bucket filling, while the oversized vacuum screen shut-off quickly arrests overfill issues to protect the vacuum motor.
Other features include a vacuum muffler that allows the machines to consistently achieve as low as 70dBA while thoroughly drying the floor, which makes them suitable for use in locations where people are active nearby, such as in the educational and healthcare sectors, sports and leisure facilities, automotive shops, retail, packing and distribution areas.
The machines' high-performance motors and down pressure provides what the stand team say is "an unmatched LB/KG standard of cleaning". Gimballed drivers improve cleaning on irregular floors while the oversized cylindrical brushes are individually driven to eliminate the need for dust mopping - scrubbing & sweeping simultaneously.
Adjustable steering makes the machines comfortable to use for operatives of different sizes and adjustable bumpers provide added protection in different types of locations.
For situations where chemical-free cleaning is required, the user has the option of employing the ZerO3 feature which creates aqueous ozone solution on-site and on-demand, at the front of the machine as it cleans, meaning that the solution is always fresh and as well as cleaning the floor, this cleans the machine itself.
Some companies' systems mean that the aqueous ozone is left in the machines overnight and of course as this has a shelf life, its benefits are lost. A further bonus when it comes to looking after the environment is that there aren't any plastic bottles involved and after 40 minutes the aqueous ozone reverts to plain water again.
