Cole & Wilson strengthens its position in Christeyns UK group

* Cole_Wilson.jpgFollowing continued success with its 'gentle care' washing and dry-cleaning chemicals, Cole & Wilson is set for further growth as parent company Christeyns UK bolsters its professional hygiene and chemistry divisions.

Headquartered in Slaithwaite, West Yorkshire, Cole & Wilson manufactures specialist laundry chemicals for use in high street dry cleaners and launderers, producing products that are kinder to the environment as well as gentler on delicate fabrics.

Cole & Wilson became part of Christeyns UK in 2014 and since this time its products have been sold and distributed to retail outlets through Alex Reid, the laundry supplies specialist, also wholly-owned by Christeyns UK.

To streamline operations, from March, Cole & Wilson will take over the chemistry sales arm of Alex Reid with staff moving over to provide customer sales support. Once complete, these changes will position Cole & Wilson as the UK's leading brand for the supply of specialist wet and dry-cleaning products.

The consumables division of Alex Reid is moving to Lynx Dry Cleaning Supplies, formalising a partnership that has developed over a number of years. Lynx will continue to sell the range of Cole & Wilson chemicals.

Nick Garthwaite, Christeyns UK Managing Director says of the reorganisation: "Looking ahead, these changes to our structure mean we can focus on development of key areas within the Christeyns UK group business, making the company as a whole even stronger."
