Zenith Hygiene Group and CPL Online announce new working partnership

* Zenith-Hygiene_CPL.jpgCPL Online, which provides learning and development software, has announced a new partnership with Zenith Hygiene Group.

The Merseyside-based company has developed a bespoke range of learning resources for Zenith Hygiene, which includes an e-learning course, learning management system and mobile app.

The introduction of these resources is the first step in Zenith Hygiene's plans to provide accessible and effective training to the Group's diverse customer base.

Developed with input from Zenith Hygiene's product chemists and technical director, the new e-learning course - 'Chemical Competence' - focuses on the core principles of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and how to apply the appropriate controls needed to prevent or reduce employees' exposure to hazardous substances. Ensuring the course content was effective and applicable, products from Zenith Hygiene have been applied to the content to help learners identify and implement specific processes associated with various chemicals.

Customers have the option of accessing the course in a variety of ways - one of which is the custom-developed learning management system and mobile app, available free of charge to Zenith Hygiene's 20,000 customer sites.

Alternatively, the companies' mutual customers can access the course via their own CPL platforms or easily integrate with third-party learning applications or their existing in-house learning management systems.

The partnership will also see both companies working collaboratively to create new business development opportunities. A selection of CPL Online's compliance courses are now available for purchase and accessed from Zenith Hygiene E-Learning Portal, which will be offered to customers as additional training. This, combined with the new resources, will help to showcase CPL's products and services and reach out to potential clients.

"We take safety and training incredibly seriously and as a trusted hygiene partner, we know that the safety and wellbeing of our customers' employees is of pivotal importance," says Tony Clough, group technical director of Zenith Hygiene Group.

"That is why we have invested in the creation of the 'Chemical Competence' course, which takes users through the key safety messages associated to chemicals and the principles of COSHH, and we chose to partner with CPL Online to create and develop our e-learning portal because of their breadth of experience and expertise in this area.

Ringo Francis, chief executive of Zenith Hygiene Group, adds: "The safety of our customers is of the upmost importance. One of the most documented pieces of feedback from our customers with regards to traditional classroom style COSHH training has been the challenge of organising all employees of a site to attend.

"Having an online portal which is accessible from any device and at any time of day and night, available in a host of languages, correctly engages our customers to learn about the correct and safe handling of chemicals, removes that obstacle and provides a significant host of benefits.

"The launch of our e-learning portal, free chemical competence course and availability of complementary courses such as Food Safety Level 2 and Allergen Awareness with CPL online is just the first step in our plans to provide leading training to our customer sectors. We look forward to continue working in partnership with CPL Online."

Explaining the partnership further, Daniel Davies, chief executive of CPL Training Group, says: "The new learning resources are an example of how companies can streamline operations and open new opportunities without compromising any aspects of business.

"In addition, the new partnership with Zenith Hygiene presents us with a chance to establish new working relationships with a larger target market.
