Alex Reid brings Cocchi and Grandimpianti machines to the UK market
Laundry specialist and machine supplier, Alex Reid, has announced two new partnerships that will bring Grandimpianti and Cocchi laundry equipment to its growing machines portfolio.
Alex Reid is now the exclusive UK supplier of Cocchi finishing equipment and one of very few UK distributors of the Grandimpianti washers and drying machines..
Both manufacturers have headquarters in Northern Italy and are established, progressive firms that sell their machines worldwide.
Cocchi was founded in 1970 by Giuseppe Cocchi whose spirit of innovation and passion for the business has led the company forward, growing both its product range and its market penetration. The high quality, reliable finishing equipment range includes products such as the Classic Vacuum Blowing Table, with a five litre built-in boiler, the Plus Trouser Topper and the CG-Mak III Pneumatic Form Finisher.
"We are delighted to be working with Alex Reid and welcome them as part of our family of partners," says Luca Cocchi, (pictured right) managing director, Cocchi, and son of founder Giuseppe Cocchi. "We feel they have the experience and market penetration to successfully promote our products across the UK."
Grandimpianti has been in operation since 1972. The firm manufactures a full range of equipment for the washing, drying, ironing and general treatment of fabrics. Following extensive research, the company has developed several important patents such as the launch of its Dynamics Weighing System - DWS - in 2007.
Alex Reid will carry a selection of the Grandimpianti state of the art washers, dryers and ironers including the GWH11 Washer Extractor, the GDZ14 Tumble Dryer and a range of Roller Ironers. Grandimpianti's new and connected 'Wavy' system, launched at Texcare Frankfurt in June 2016, will also be available in the near future.
Patrizia Terrible, managing director at Grandimpianti, says of the partnership: "Alex Reid has a long-standing reputation in the UK specialist laundry business and its knowledge and expertise will provide excellent support for our machines and equipment."
Alex Reid already offers an extensive range of laundry and dry cleaning machinery that includes industrial washer extractors, tumble dryers, finishing equipment and a selection of dry cleaning machines. Last month Unisec came on board to add to other established brands such as the Primus range of washers and dryers. In the UK, Alex Reid is also the exclusive supplier of Camptel and Anghinetti and has been working with these brands for over a decade.
The Grandimpianti washers and dryers are compatible with the Aquawave wet cleaning and Caretex Pro laundry liquids, perfectly complimenting each other. The Camptel and Cocchi equipment provide the very best in finishing apparatus, working well together to ensure that products are washed and finished to a very high standard.
