ECMR welcomes new partner

* ECMR.jpgThe European Cleaning Machines Recycling has extended a warm welcome to new member Kimberly-Clark Professional, which chose ECMR to bring in a sustainable approach to company policy; improving respect for the environment and providing a boost to the circular economy.

In close cooperation with Kimberly Clark Professional, ECMR will collect all end of lifetime sanitary dispensers for the recycling, re-use and upcycling of the materials, according to the EU waste regulations.

By doing so, the materials will not end up in landfill or require incineration.

Here, Jeroen Neijmeijer (left), key account manager Kimberly-Clark Professional and André Vonk, managing director ECMR, sign their agreement.

The ECMR says its launch in 2012 was a wake-up call for the cleaning industry and that manufacturers, distributors and end-users are all responsible for the waste created. "Together we are a substantial part of the solution!" it says.

"Thanks to ECMR, manufacturers, importers, dealers and customers work together for a better and environmentally-friendly world. Corporate social responsibility is not just a slogan but a conscious choice which companies need to make.

"By taking part in our responsible recycling concept, companies distinguish themselves as 'green thinkers' and differentiate themselves from the start by showing that their waste products are processed according to the ISO 26000 & ISO14001 standard."
