Bona partners with Healthy Schools Campaign's Green Clean Schools programme
Bona, hardwood floorcare and maintenance specialist since 1919, announced this week a partnership with Healthy Schools Campaign (HSC) to support the Green Clean Schools programme. It also supported the forum at ISSA/Interclean North America in Chicago this week - a forum which brought the issue of healthy approaches to cleaning to the forefront of hundreds of school and universities.
"We are thrilled to be teaming up with the Healthy Schools Campaign to educate and advocate for healthy indoor environments, such as schools," said Cate Vanegas, director of marketing, Bona US. "A healthy indoor environment starts with the floors and for almost a century Bona has innovated and supported products that offer the best in cleaning with safety in mind."
Bona participated in HSC's Green Clean Schools Forum at ISSA which was created to teach facility directors how to implement cost-savings strategies while creating a safe, healthy environment. Workshops and panel discussions, led by members of the Healthy Schools Campaign's leadership council and industry and health experts, explored practical applications of the Campaign's Five Steps to Green Cleaning in Schools.
Rochelle Davis, president and CEO of Healthy Schools Campaign, said: "Over the past 10 years, HSC's Green Clean Schools has promoted green cleaning in schools through online resources, events, webinars, education and advocacy.
"This year marks the first year for the Green Clean Schools Forum which brings together leading K-12 and university facility operators to raise awareness about green cleaning best practices, products and trends that will help them elevate their cleaning programmes to new heights."
