Open Day next week celebrates major investment in cleaning business

* HC-Whittlesey-Showroom.jpgHugh Crane (Cleaning Equipment) is holding an Open Day at its newly refurbished site in Whittlesey, Peterborough, on 30th September. This major investment shows the business strategically placed to meet the ever-increasing demands from customers along the A1 corridor.

"We have been operating from the site since October 2001 and when the option of acquiring the site next door became available in 2014, we decided that now was the right time to expand," says Jim Saunders, Whittlesey branch manager.

"Over the last few years we have seen a large increase in companies investing in the area, making the most of the excellent transport links. The central location and the demand for warehousing has seen an increase in the demand for state of the art cleaning equipment.

"Clearly our previous facilities didn't allow us to cope with this demand, so investment was essential for the long term growth of the business.

"We now have one of the largest cleaning equipment showrooms in East Anglia, along with a dedicated National Training Centre. Customers can now visit the site and have a demonstration of equipment before purchasing, which we see as a major advantage."

Hugh Crane (Cleaning Equipment), supplies a large range of cleaning equipment, chemicals, janitorial supplies and paper products from some of the industry's leading manufacturers, as well as having its own range of specialist commercial pressure washers. The company also services and supplies parts for a large range of industrial cleaning equipment.

To celebrate the completion of the work the organisation is holding an Open Day on Friday 30th September from 09.30 - 17.00. This free event sees a large number of specialist cleaning equipment and chemical suppliers from all over the UK promoting the latest updates within the cleaning sector.

* HC-HQ.jpgManufacturers demonstrating their equipment on the day include: Commando Pressure Washers, MAC International, Kranzle, Karcher, Nilfisk Alto, Numatic, IPC Gansow and G&S Services from Penrith.

Clover Chemicals will be presenting two sessions during the day on CLP and its new 'Task Based Risk Assessment Tool'. Prochem Europe will also be holding a session on stain removal from fabrics and carpets as well as having some fantastic new air freshening products (non aerosol) on display along with Meguiars, P Wave and Ivo.

Hugh Crane's own engineering department will also be demonstrating its CaskForce Brewery range along with hygiene systems which are specific to the food services industry. With special one-off discounts available across the day it is bound to be a popular event.

Steve Barclay, MP for North East Cambridgeshire, will officially open the new showroom at 12.30.

There is free parking and refreshments during the day including a hog roast, ice cream cart and beers on tap from Nene Valley Brewery.
