Envirosystems acquires Victoria Treatment Facility from Tervita Corporation

Envirosystems announced this week that it has acquired the Victoria Treatment Facility located in Victoria, British Columbia from Tervita Corporation. The facility handles multiple waste streams generated by shipyards, cruise ships, freighters, tankers and other marine vessels.

It is also supported by a field services operation that collects and manages household hazardous waste materials and performs lab-packing work for a variety of commercial and government customers on Vancouver Island.

Headquartered in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Envirosystems is one of the fastest growing industrial services organisations in North America with over 1,000 employees in more than 40 locations throughout Canada and the US. Its services include catalyst changeout, chemical cleaning, dredging, high pressure cleaning, hydro-excavation, mobile spent caustic treatment, waste disposal/treatment and vacuum services.

"This acquisition is part of our ongoing initiative to expand our service footprint and provide a wider range of service offerings to our clients," says Envirosystems's president and CEO, Mike Ryan. "We welcome the professional staff from Tervita and look forward to a smooth transition."
