CleanNZ Expo and CleanSweep Awards bigger and better than ever before
If the atmosphere on the show floor was anything to go by, CleanNZ Expo (held late May) surpassed exhibitors' expectations with a more fitting venue at the spacious ASB Showgrounds, Auckland.
Ample room for bigger stands meant New Zealand's leading players in the cleaning and hygiene sector could showcase a complete selection of goods including sweepers and scrubbers, a wall full of washroom dispensers, window squeegee demonstrations, backpack vacuums being modelled and an automated floor cleaning robot making its way up and down the aisle.
Ardrich's business development manager, Karin Wilson, had a great show with some positive feedback. "We enjoyed the atmosphere and the busy flow-through of clients," she states. "The return we got was overwhelming... for a small company we received a big return over two days from a good cross section of people who visited our stand. We will definitely be there again!"
Andre Quin, CEO of JGID also had a successful show, saying: "We met many decision-makers who showed great interest in our JGID Business Management Software. Participating in this show was definitely worth the investment and I highly recommend Inclean events to anyone wanting to market or sell to the cleaning industry."
The first day of the show was followed by the 'Oscars' style CleanNZ gala dinner where the Building Service Contractors of New Zealand (BSCNZ) CleanSweep Awards in association with Staples were presented in front of more than 300 guests.
The CleanNZ education programme was also well attended with sessions ranging from marketing and business development to carpet care and methamphetamine awareness.
Asset Cleaning's operations manager Gurdeep Singh attended the highest number of sessions and saw the expo as a great opportunity for learning and professional development, saying: "The Government Tendering System and Methamphetamine testing were resourceful for service providers. Overall the whole expo was a great success".
The next edition of CleanNZ will be held in 2018 in conjunction with BSCNZ, with chief executive officer Lillian Small saying: "The BSCNZ are proud to be in partnership with Interpoint bringing the New Zealand cleaning industry together again for the CleanNZ Expo.
"We are very pleased that it was a successful show for both exhibitors and visitors. The sophistication in our industry was once again highlighted by the innovative products and services on offer from our local and global suppliers. We are looking forward to 2018."
