Detect bed bugs before they become an issue with new Raid bed bug detector & trap

* Raid.jpgBed bugs are known for hiding in dark, sheltered spaces, allowing them to often go undetected before turning into large-scale infestations. Once your establishment has a reputation for harbouring bed bugs it will be hard to shake off - even if you get rid of the bed bugs themselves.

The Raid Bed Bug Detector & Trap is a new early-detection product, which enables hotel patrons and the like to expose evidence of bed bugs before an infestation occurs.

The partially enclosed trap designed with a see-through window enables users to identify the problem and effectively dispose of the bugs caught in the trap. Upon entering the detector, bed bugs will be trapped inside. The device can be placed on the floor next to legs of furniture, including beds, sofas and daybeds, under furniture cushions or between the mattress and the box spring.

Given its small size, the new Raid Bed Bug Detector & Trap can be placed behind headboards or under hotel mattresses to detect bed bugs. Last year, out of 1,800 respondents surveyed by travel website TripAdvisor, only 37% said they check the headboard for bed bugs - a common hiding place in hotels for these pests.
