Going Inside Sodexo: Global services provider to host Twitter chat to explore responsible sourcing, local community impact, integrated reporting and more

* Sodhexo.jpgWhen an organisation understands that quality of life is central to the performance and growth of individuals and its business, serving client needs becomes a much more nuanced yet sustainable operation.

For global services provider Sodexo, this recognition has become somewhat of a mantra as it serves a broad spectrum of clients across education, health, senior living, business, sports & leisure and government agencies in 80 countries around the world.

For Sodexo, this also means thousands of touch points across global supply chains, complex client relationships interweaved across cultures, geographies and sectors. How does such a behemoth report then on something as ambivalent as corporate responsibility? How does the organisation define sustainability? And how does it differentiate itself in a sector both crowded and hyper competitive?

On Tuesday, December 10, 2013, CSRwire will host a Twitter chat with Sodexo's Neil Barrett, group vice president, sustainable development; Tom Mackall, vice president, global labour relations as well as John Friedman, director, global corporate responsibility communications - a contributor to CSRwire's commentary section Talkback and prolific social media communicator - for an inside look at the company's commitment to corporate responsibility and sustainability.

Moderated by CSRwire Editorial Director Aman Singh and TriplePundit founder Nick Aster, Sodexo's leaders will share their ambitions, answer questions about their commitments and seek feedback from the CR/sustainability community.

On the agenda will be:

The Value of Integrated Reporting: why was integrating Sodexo's corporate responsibility into the Annual Report a natural fit?
Supply Chain Management: Sodexo works with more than 10,000 suppliers across 80 countries ranging from large multinational companies to family farms - how does it manage it all responsibly?
Responsible Sourcing: how does a company like Sodexo rise to the challenges presented by crossing global geographies, cultures and regulations while ensuring that everything it sources meets their high standards (including quality, safety, sustainability and traceability, etc.)?
Employee Engagement: As a leading jobs provider with more than 420,000 employees, how does Sodexo consistently earn leading rankings in diversity and inclusion, provide career opportunities and develop its people?
Career opportunities - particularly the company's focus on youth employment (it is a current media story that this demographic has been particularly hard-hit by the global economic slowdown)
Development of its people

Rankings & Recognition: Sodexo was recently ranked top in its sector by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the ninth consecutive year. What does it take to maintain leadership in the world of sustainability rankings?

Join Sodexo for a compelling conversation and an opportunity to learn and influence what's around the bend for the company.
