Trade visitors' statistics and feedback
Trade visitors mainly represented the following sectors: services, the trade, industry, authorities, public institutions, wholesale and export. Some 85% of the overseas visitors were from Europe, while 15% came from all other parts of the world.
Encouragingly, there was a remarkable increase in the number of trade visitors acting in a decision-making capacity, 74% of whom were senior management executives, authorised signatories and heads of department ((compared with 63% in 2011). Some 69% of trade visitors said they have a significant influence on their companies' purchasing and procurement decisions.
More than 97% of trade visitors described the commercial results of their visit as positive. In particular, they emphasised the good opportunities for networking with manufacturers that the show presented. Two-thirds were able to establish new business leads and the same number expected negotiations to continue and follow-up business to be established after the event. Some 92% were very satisfied with the products at the show and 81% praised the innovative products and services on display.
Almost all the trade visitors said they would recommend a visit to CMS to their colleagues or business associates and 90% said they would attend the next CMS in 2015. Over 97% said they were generally satisfied with their visit to this year's event while 88% gave a positive assessment of the industry's economic situation and its future prospects, as a result of what they had learned during their visit.
