Gojo signs agreement with US HealthTrust
Gojo Industries has announced a new contract with the US-based HealthTrust to provide its 1,400 member hospitals and 10,600 ambulatory surgery centres, physician practices and alternate care sites with access to purchase the full line of Purell Instant Hand Sanitizer and Provon hand hygiene and skincare products through the group purchasing organisation (GPO). Products include handwashing products and dispensers, compliance monitoring and measurement tools and Purell Advanced Hand Sanitizer brands, including green certified products.
Effective hand hygiene products are imperative for healthcare facilities, as well as products that protect and maintain skin condition. Gojo has been offering its Provon and Purell Advanced Instant Hand Sanitizer products to the acute care market since 2001.

According to HealthCare Supply Chains Association, a group purchasing organisation (GPO) is an entity that helps healthcare providers such as hospitals, nursing homes and home health agencies, realise savings and efficiencies by aggregating purchasing volume and using that leverage to negotiate discounts with manufacturers, distributors and other vendors. Overall, about 72% of purchases that hospitals make are through GPO contracts.
