Cleaning at the sharp end!

* The-Shard-night.jpgPrinciple Cleaning Services has scored something of a coup by winning the contract to clean London's fabulous new landmark building: The Shard at London Bridge Quarter - the new commercial district emerging on London's South Bank. Principle is delighted to be working in partnership with London Bridge Quarter Estate Management, the dedicated on-site service team, and will be wholly responsible for the housekeeping, cleaning, external estate cleaning, waste management and pest control.

Douglas Cooke, Chief Executive at Principle says: "This is the most pioneering building in London and a real milestone for the company to have won the contract. I am extremely proud to be associated with it and everyone at the company is excited at the prospect of working in partnership with London Bridge Quarter at The Shard and The Place."

* The-Shard-day.jpgThe Shard is at the heart of London Bridge Quarter and at 310metres high is the tallest building in Western Europe. It has been described as a 'vertical city', containing offices, international restaurants, 5-star Shangri-La Hotel, an exclusive collection of residences and the capital's highest viewing galleries - The View from The Shard.

The Place is a new headquarters development also at London Bridge Quarter and at 17 storeys and 428,000 sq ft it boasts large floor plates and a landscaped roof terrace with spectacular views of London. The development has transformed London Bridge Station to the highest standard of international transport design, delivering a new bus station and train station concourse.
