Your guide to the business opportunities in China's cleaning market

China's economy has achieved great success in the past 30 years and it is still maintaining its rate of growth even though the economic downturn is affecting the global economy.

The cleaning industry is also undergoing tremendous growth. The rising environmental awareness of customers, for example, has provided a new market for more eco-friendly items to be introduced.

Meanwhile, China has a huge number of commercial and industrial facilities that require efficient cleaning. The cleaning business opportunities for these facilities are worth over 320 billion RMB (Yuan) and are expected to grow at an annual rate of 25%.

China's cleaning supply industry also expanded rapidly over the past year. In 2011, the total revenue of large enterprises in the personal cleaning industry reached 147 billion yuan ($23 billion), up 26.53% year-on-year. The industrial and public facilities cleaning industry also saw its revenue grow by 25 % in 2011 compared with the previous year.

As a result, China, and particularly its cleaning industry sector, represents a huge opportunity for foreign companies worldwide. Many of the world's leading corporations such as Karcher, Nilfisk and 3M, now have offices in China.

Obtaining a share of the cake in this quickly growing marketplace is a must for any company seeking to expand its business and increase profit. China Clean Expo (CCE), said to be the biggest show of its kind in Asia, offers an ideal 'first step' for businesses wishing to take their first steps into the Chinese market.

CCE 2013 will be held from 1st - 3rd April 2013. It will showcase cleaning products and facilities from personal to home care, commercial cleaning, industrial cleaning, public cleaning and municipal cleaning. From 17th - 19th October, the CCE project team will be at the Chicago ISSA/Interclean North America (booth No.1771), which will provide a great face-to-face consulting opportunity for companies interested in entering China's cleaning industry market, for those who want to know more about the market and for those who want to participate in the CCE event.
