The Truvox TruSweep 460 is sweeping across Britain
The TruSweep 460, announced by Truvox International less than a year ago, is already making an impact by sweeping up leaves, cigarette ends and general litter in car parks, around office buildings, in loading bays, warehouses and industrial units all over Britain.
As the machine does not use electricity, it does not pose a risk of people tripping over a trailing lead. The operator is therefore able to sweep up all the litter on a path or paved area with ease.
The clever bit is that the TruSweep 460 has an adjustable main brush that revolves in the opposite direction to that of travel. This mechanism therefore flips debris such as cigarette ends, pieces of Polystyrene, crisps and leaves into a 40 litre capacity dirt collector. With a 60 cm cleaning path, the TruSweep 460 can sweep up to 2,600 m2 per hour.
An adjustable revolving side brush can be positioned for up-to-the-edge sweeping and sweeps debris from the sides into the path of the main brush. An easily visible adjustment scale makes it possible to set the main brush for the optimum pressure required for the debris being collected and to suit different floor conditions. Clever anti-wrap technology prevents long, thin materials, such as string, from getting wound onto the brush shaft.
The machine is easy to manoeuvre and lift because the main casing is made of resilient polypropylene. The TruSweep 460 has heavy-duty castors for ease of control, and a lightweight dirt collector that is easy and quick to empty. The handle can be folded down for compact storage when the sweeper is not in use.
