IFMA's World Workplace Conference & Expo is earlier this year and better than ever

* superdome-skyline-image.jpgThe International Facility Management Association is anticipating strong turnout at its flagship event, the World Workplace Conference and Expo, to be held in New Orleans, Louisiana, US, from September 17th - 19th, 2014. Exciting programme updates have been made to support the theme for this year's conference: 'FM + Strategy x Innovation = Your Formula for Success.'

The event is scheduled into the industry calendar earlier this year than in previous years. Registration is currently open at and early bird attendee registration discount ends after 10th July.

After a strong turnout at last year's event in Philadelphia, the 2014 offering will be better than ever with exciting updates to the programme developed to address attendees' professional and personal goals.

Attendees have come to expect renowned keynote speakers, and this year will not disappoint. In addition to opening keynote speaker Peter Sheahan, founder and CEO of ChangeLabs, Author of 'Fl!P' and 'Generation Y', three speakers will offer closing keynotes modelled after TED talks.

To facilitate the unique educational needs of individual attendees, World Workplace will offer session Learning Labs for the first time in New Orleans.

There are four Learning Labs:

* Leadership: Focuses on C-suite conversations, needs and expectations.

* Leading & Bleeding Edge: Highlights visionary FM concepts and practices.

* Management Skills: Focuses on soft skills for those who want to perfect their management style.

* Performance: Highlights best practices from world-class organisations and individuals.

Three master classes will also be offered on Tuesday 16th. They will cover emergency preparedness, leadership and strategy, and workplace innovation.

Expo attendees will have the opportunity to explore cutting-edge products and services demonstrated by exhibiting companies representing business sectors such as alternative energy, architecture, building maintenance, disaster recovery, education, food services, furniture, healthcare, real estate, security, technology and more.

Special FM-centered facility tours are always one of the most popular events at World Workplace, and New Orleans offers a variety of unique and innovative venues from which to choose. Tour options include the Mercedes-Benz Superdome; New Orleans Lakefront Airport; New Orleans BioInnovation Center; Louisiana Cancer Research Center; 17th Street Interim Closure Structure and Permanent Pumps Complex; and Bonnet
Carré Spillway, part of the long-term response to Hurricane Katrina.

For more than 30 years, IFMA's World Workplace has been leading groundbreaking discussions on the management of facilities, FM teams and workplace projects. Held annually, World Workplace addresses topics of the greatest relevance and concern to professionals who support the built environment. It is widely considered to be the marquee facility management conference in the world.
