Airdri expands Asian presence with new Chinese facility

The Airdri Group has opened a new facility in Guangzhou, China as part of a strategy to substantially grow its business within the region. This facility will become part of the hand dryer and elevator safety system manufacturer's international network, which includes bases in the UK, USA and Germany. Further operations in key markets are under active consideration by the Airdri board.

The new Guangzhou facility has been established with a mandate to provide a world class service to Airdri's customers as well as to boost sales efforts in the region. There will also be a dedicated group tasked with working closely with Airdri's production partner, which is based near to the new facility.

The newly formed in-house sales function will be tasked with rapidly expanding sales in China as well as acting as a hub for the wider region. Both the hand dryer business and the current and future elevator technologies will be marketed to selected distributors, partners and potential customers.

"This is a natural step for us as we look to expand in this vital region," says Bruce Philipps, Managing Director. "It is absolutely essentially that we constantly strive to provide our customers with the best customer service in the business."

James Clark, Group Commercial Director adds: "We already service large customers in China and the wider region but see this as a major opportunity to accelerate our sales through this new team."
