Russian show a roaring success

* conference-delegates.jpgRussia's main cleaning industry event took place last week, from 13th to 15th November, at Moscow's Olimpiyskiy Sport Complex. ExpoClean 2013, was the 15th international exhibition for the cleaning industry held in the series.

Held since 1999 under the patronage of the Moscow City Government and the Moscow City Department of Trade & Services, ExpoClean brings together all the participants of Russia's cleaning industry.

It is the main meeting place for users and suppliers of professional cleaning equipment used to clean commercial and industrial premises, as well as laundry professionals and those involved in the dry cleaning industry. It showcases the latest equipment and technology, helping business contacts to be made and experiences to be shared.

The show floor stretched over 7,120 square metres and a total of 172 exhibitors from 15 countries took part. They were from Austria, Belgium, Belarus, the UK, Germany, Italy, China, South Korea, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Turkey, Ukraine, Finland, Japan and Russia. Over the three days the event was held, 6,230 people visited from 79 Russian cities (44 regions) and from abroad.

There was an interesting conference programme which began prior to the event. On 12 November, 'Introducing HACCP in food companies - Russian and international experience' seminar, was organised by the Russian Cleaning Companies Association and the ISSA. Forming part of the CleanExpo 2013 business programme, the conference featured the participation of leading HACCP specialists from Russia and Europe.

Another conference: 'Managing dry cleaning and laundry companies: a new era of success', focused on the needs of managers from dry cleaning and laundry companies. It was sponsored by Procter & Gamble.

Visitors to the exhibition took part in interactive presentations at the demonstration zone, also attending roundtables, masterclasses and seminars.
"The exhibition continues to grow in terms of quality - companies are paying a great deal of attention to presenting the latest developments, competitive offers and training programmes," say the organisers. "A strong boost for this is given by the visitors, whose activity and desire to learn grows every year."
