Survey finds most cleaning pro's would recommend joining cleaning industry

* Kaivac-washroom.jpgA survey conducted by AlturaSolutions Communications, a jansan industry communications firm, for Kaivac, developer of the No-Touch Cleaning and the OmniFlex Crossover Cleaning system, finds that 63% of those surveyed would recommend getting involved with the professional cleaning industry.

While less enthusiastic, about a third responded that the industry was "worth investigating" for those looking for a new profession.

The online survey was conducted in July 2013. Nearly 1,000 cleaning contractors, distributors, distributor reps and others in the industry, were invited to take the survey.

Nearly all of the respondents had been involved with the jansan industry for five years or more and nearly 75%bindicated they plan to stay in the industry.

Other interesting observations were revealed in the survey...

When asked how they got into the jansan industry: 17% first started by working for a distributor or BSC; approximately 15% bought into the industry, such as purchasing a franchise; about another 17% "just happened into it;" and nearly half noted that their family was already in the industry.

When asked if they stopped working in the cleaning industry would they get back involved at a later date, about 50% answered yes; however, the others were equally divided with about a fourth responding "no" and the rest indicating "not sure."

Says Tom Morrison, marketing director for Kaivac: "The family connection is what caught my attention. My son works for us and our CEO's son also works for the company. Apparently, the cleaning industry just gets in your blood."

Headquartered in Hamilton, Ohio, Kaivac delivers complete, science-based cleaning systems designed to produce healthy results and outcomes while raising the value of cleaning operations and the professionalism of the worker. The company offers an integrated portfolio of environmentally-friendly cleaning products designed to remove the maximum amount of soil and potentially harmful biopollutants in the most cost-effective manner possible.
