Management change at MGS International

Dutch company MGS International has announced that with effect from 1st May 2013, Michel de Bruin has acquired the shares of joint owner Rene Buijs. With this acquisition, Michel is now the sole owner of MGS International, a leading manufacturer and supplier of, amongst other things, Greenspeed Microfibre Systems.

The decision to continue with a single manager is a joint strategy decision made by the MGS management. "I am convinced that the company has a great future ahead of it," promises Michel. "On behalf of MGS International, I would like to wholeheartedly thank Rene Buijs for his dedication and what he has achieved since he joined us in 1991. He has contributed greatly to the organisation that we are today, growing from a warehouse/importer to a leading producer and developer of innovative cleaning products and system of international calibre."

Rene will now concentrate his attention on financial and economic consultancy in other markets.

MGS International will continue to offer sustainable, ergonomic and innovative Greenspeed systems but also will seek opportunities through adapting new brands and concepts into the MGS vision of sustainability, safety and efficient usage. As Michel says: "This world continues to excite me and to surprise me in a positive way. There are not only many chances to innovate our products and systems but I want to focus on a number of new brands and systems where we can help our distributors increase market share and help improve our customers' efficiency."

Michel started in the professional cleaning industry 25 years ago and originally became a Director of MGS International in 2001. Prior to that he held the position of Benelux Sales Director for Nilfisk-Advance from 1998 - 2000 and for Electrolux Europe from 1993 - 1998. For the past two years Michel has also served as European Board Representative for ISSA and is the founder of the association's Benelux Working Group.
