Staying pristine at every height, one year on!

The £25m St Helens RLFC Langtree Park stadium opened in January 2012 and is undergoing annual maintenance works in the close season thanks to the powered access expertise of Nationwide Platforms.

To facilitate safe and effective work at heights of up to 70 metres on the 18,000 seater stadium, Nationwide Platforms has provided a total of six platforms over the past eight weeks.
Initially, the powered access leader provided three Genie 28 metre telescopic booms and a 25 metre articulating boom to enable the rejuvenation of stadium paintwork. A Niftylift HeightRider 12 will also be utilised for working at heights of up to 12 metres.
For work in completing the maintenance of high level lighting at the facility, which doubles as Liverpool FC's reserve team home ground, the club's facilities management team will be utilising Nationwide Platforms' 70 metre Bronto truck mount.

Powered access was selected as the means of working at height by club officials who saw the major time and cost saving benefits compared to traditional means of working at height.

With local depots in Manchester and Liverpool providing access to the fleet, Nationwide Platforms was also able to dispatch the ideal selection of equipment to help workers finish their tasks safely and in the required time-frame.

Nationwide Platforms' Executive Director - Sales, Richard Miller, says: "We're very pleased to have worked with the stadium management team at St Helens to help them find the perfect equipment and the most ideal working at height solutions. As a business we've been proud to work on a great number of the country's most iconic facilities and help our customers achieve all of their goals in the face of many challenges."

Work on the stadium will be concluded ahead of the 2013 rugby league season.

Nationwide Platforms provided access equipment to assist with the annual maintenance at the home of St Helens RFC.

Nationwide Platforms is the UK's largest powered access rental business, providing a fleet of more than 11,300 machines from a network of 38 depots across the country. It also has the largest powered access training department in Europe, delivering a comprehensive range of working at height training courses to powered access operators and the access industry. It is part of the world's largest specialist access rental business, Lavendon Group.
