Conference to hear from expert behind British athletes' 2012 success

Facilities management employers are invited to a free conference next Wednesday, 5th December, which will look at the talent strategy behind the British athletes' success this Summer.

'Inspiring Talent - getting the most from your workforce' is an event being organised by Asset Skills, the industry skills body for FM, with the aim of introducing talent nurturing schemes into companies.

The event, in Manchester, will hear from leading experts on how talent management means stronger performance now and in the future, and on the psychology of business coaching.

Speakers include Chelsea Warr, Head of Athlete Development for UK Sport, and mentoring expert Dr Christian Van Nieuwerburgh, Chief Executive of the International Centre for Coaching in Education

"We've drawn on research and existing best practice elsewhere to shape a talent management model that will benefit the whole of FM by creating an exceptional talent pool," says Sarah Bentley, Chief Executive of Asset Skills.

"Now more than ever it's crucial to identify, nurture and inspire talent in your staff to help steer your business through the hard times. Our conference will look at what lies at the heart of the best talent management models and how to bring them into your workplace."

The conference will take place at the Digital World Centre, Pier 8, Salford Quays, Manchester, M50 3AZ.
