PDI signs agreement with HealthTrust for surface disinfection products
PDI, provider of infection prevention education, clinical support and products, has been awarded a contract for surface disinfection from HealthTrust, the group purchasing organisation that supports nearly 1,400 acute care facilities, as well as 10,600 ambulatory surgery centres, physician practices and alternate care sites in the US, with an annual purchasing volume of more than $20 billion.
The contract makes the full line of Sani-Cloth Germicidal Disposable Wipes, designed to service all areas of the healthcare facility, available to HealthTrust members.
"This new agreement will afford PDI the opportunity to work with HealthTrust's diverse membership, aid them in reducing healthcare-associated infections and control associated costs," says Dan Marsh, executive vice president, PDI.
PDI Sani-Cloth Germicidal Disposable Wipes includes Super Sani-Cloth, Sani-Cloth AF3, and Sani-Cloth Bleach. The product portfolio offers a complete environmental hygiene solution for house-wide and situational use with the appropriate mix of aggressive clinically-relevant efficacy claims. Effective against 27 different microorganisms in two minutes, Super Sani-Cloth is ideal for daily use in fast-paced environments. Sani-Cloth AF3 is ideal for use around patients and staff as well as on sensitive equipment. It is alcohol and fragrance free and effective against 44 different microorganisms in three minutes. Sani-Cloth Bleach is effective against 50 different microorganisms including 14 multidrug-resistant organisms, Norovirus and Clostridium difficile spores in four minutes and is designed to be used in high-risk areas.
The Sani-Cloth Environmental Hygiene System provides users with a broad range of intermediate-level surface disinfectants that address all surface disinfection needs. Equally important to the products are PDI's compliance tools, optional dispensing accessories, ongoing clinical support and comprehensive implementation training for staff.
