Demon's new Hurricane Combi in Awards final!

Demon launched the new Hurricane Combi flat surface cleaner at Saltex in September 2011 and is now delighted that it has made the final of the Executive Hire Show's Innovation Award 2012!

The Combi was born from the success of two products, the Hurricane Pressure Washer and Rotowash Professional floor cleaner, already manufactured by Demon.

The Combi is designed for cleaning flat surfaces, including car parks, walkways, roads, pontoons and sports grounds etc. It comes complete with twin spinning arms which rotate at 2000rpm and a 50mm heavy duty skirt that eliminates overspray to anything nearby, which is essential when cleaning in urban areas. The machine is manufactured with an integral pressure washer, either a Hurricane P2 providing 2200psi at 13 litres per minute or with the option of a Hurricane P4 at 2900psi at 15 litres per minute.

Operator fatigue is minimised, thanks to the grey, non-marking rubber wheels that glide effortlessly over most flat surfaces and the power of the pressure washer and the spinning arms, which speed up the cleaning process considerably.

Previously, customers would have had to purchase two pieces of equipment but now with the launch of this brand new machine, they only require one which is much easier to manoeuvre. Another huge benefit is that the Combi will also work as a standalone pressure washer with the attachment of a lance, which ensures that the operator gets the best of both worlds. This is ideal for applications such as graffiti and gum removal and makes the Combi an all round versatile machine for many industries.

The Judges' comments for the shortlisting included "attention to detail is impressive, this versatile machine is suitable to a wide range of customers in many markets."

The Hurricane Combi will be on display at the Executive Hire Show in Coventry on 8th and 9th February or Demon's UK network of distributors can arrange demonstrations.
