Envac awarded contract for state-of-the-art waste collection terminal in Norway

* Envac.jpgEnvac Norge AS has been awarded the contract to deliver and install a cutting-edge waste collection terminal for the transformative Mindemyren development project in Bergen, Norway. The facility will serve approximately 3,650 residential units and around 400,000sq.m of commercial space, making it one of the region's most significant infrastructure projects in recent years.

The contract has been signed with Kanalveien 54 AS, representing all developers involved in the Mindemyren project. This milestone marks a major step forward in the ongoing development of Mindemyren, an area characterised by its focus on modern infrastructure, sustainability and future-oriented solutions.

The journey to this contract award has been thorough and comprehensive, with a strong emphasis on technical quality, operational reliability and flexibility. Following an extended period of planning, clarifications, and close collaboration among all parties, Envac says it was honoured to formalise the agreement.

"We at Envac Norge AS greatly appreciate the trust placed in us through this award,” says Petter Mellquist, Envac Norge. “It has been a long and thorough process, and we extend our sincere thanks to FAV Gruppen AS and BIR Infrastruktur for the excellent cooperation throughout. We now look forward to commencing the implementation phase!"

The Mindemyren project is a key part of Bergen's urban transformation, aiming to create a vibrant, sustainable urban district with a strong emphasis on green mobility, efficient land use and innovative technical solutions. The new waste collection terminal will form a central component of the area's technical infrastructure, ensuring stable and modern operations for years to come.

Envac's delivery will require close coordination with multiple stakeholders, and the company is committed to teamwork, quality at every stage, and safe, efficient progress. The waste terminal will support Mindemyren's vision of a sustainable, future-ready urban environment, as outlined in the ongoing planning initiatives for the district.
