New study examines how pleat patterns impact cartridge filter filtration and cleaning performance

* Study-filtration2.jpegA new scientific paper has been published following studies into the way the pleating pattern impacts on a cartridge filter's filtration and cleaning performance. The purpose of the study was to provide a high-performance cartridge filter replacement solution for a cartridge dust collector.

The researchers, who felt that dust - when restricted by the triangular pleat structure of a traditional cartridge filter, tends to clog in the pleat depths and seriously shorten the service life of cartridge filters - created different pleat styles such as a trapezoidal pleated cartridge filter. Then they tested their performance, comparing one against the other.
