Record numbers at Milan's ISSA Pulire 2025; Team I-Team wins Hackathon
The 2025 edition of ISSA Pulire, Italy's most important event dedicated to professional hygiene and a key meeting point for industry professionals, institutions and stakeholders at international level, opened on Tuesday at Rho Fiera, Milano.
The results of Show highlight 'the Hackathon', (which tests participants' technical skills and creativity in cleaning) have already been announced, with Team I-Team taking the crown! (more on the Hackathon next week...).
The opening ceremony, held in the Sala Roma, was attended by top institutional and industry association representatives, along with international delegations and leaders from major companies in the sector.
Also noteworthy is the presence of 169 new exhibitors (40%), further confirming the event's growing appeal.
"ISSA PULIRE is now an ecosystem that brings together business, innovation and global vision,” said Toni D'Andrea, CEO of ISSA pulire Network. “The professional cleaning market is undergoing major transformation, and our event reflects and supports this change. The increase in exhibitors - especially international and first-time participants, is a strong signal: the sector believes in this fair, and we are ready to build the future of professional hygiene together."
John Barrett, executive director of ISSA, said: "I would especially like to thank Afidamp for the trust it has shown us since the beginning of our partnership in 2019. The professional cleaning sector has never been as important as it is now."
Francesco Pasquini, president of Afidamp, joined in the acknowledgments, emphasising that: "The improvements we see from one edition to the next are the result of great work and the collaboration between ISSA Pulire Network, Afidamp, and ISSA. The success of the trade show is also determined by the companies that take part in it, both the longstanding ones and those participating for the first time. I wish everyone a successful event."
Closing the speeches was the Consul General of Morocco in Milan, Dr Mohammed Lakhal, who highlighted the importance of bilateral trade relations between Italy and Morocco, expressing hope for continued and even more fruitful collaboration in the future.
During the ceremony, the ISSA Distinguished Leadership Industry Award was presented to Giancarlo Ruffo, president of Comac, a company based in Verona that has been manufacturing professional cleaning machines since 1974. The award recognises his entrepreneurial vision and long-lasting contribution to the development of the entire sector.
The event - organised with the support of Regione Lombardia, under the patronage of major trade associations, and backed by an international network of partners - will continue until May 29th, featuring a full program of conferences, live demonstrations, and networking opportunities.
