Premium provider White Star Laundry equips with Girbau
Looking for state-of-the-art equipment for the new White Star Laundry in York, the experienced founders chose a full range of laundry machines from Girbau UK including two 6-Series high speed washers, two Pro Series II dryers and a Girbau PS-5132 dryer ironer.
"We saw a gap in the market for a premium commercial laundry and established White Star Laundry with a clear vision of offering our hospitality and catering customers a five star service," says Janet Dixon, one of the founding directors.

Dedicated to providing a five-star laundering service for hotels, guesthouses and B&Bs; restaurants, spa resorts and a top-notch home laundry and ironing service, White Star Laundry prides itself on high standards of washing, finishing and customer care. Its work comprises everything from towels and bedding to table linen, curtains, sofa covers, duvets and delicates. These are washed in the new Girbau HS-6023 and HS-6040 high capacity high speed washers, dried using Pro Series II 50lb dryers and finished using Girbau's latest 3.2m width PS-5132 dryer ironer.
Strong and durable, all washers in the 6 Series range offer spin speeds of up to 1,000rpm and have been designed to provide excellent washing performance with reduced cycle times. Girbau's patented GDRIVE system uses microprocessor control to optimise the high speed spin cycle to suit different types of fabric as well as saving energy and water, reducing noise and vibration and prolonging machine life.
The latest INTELI control system of Girbau's 6-Series washers offers up to 99 different programs, 20 of which are pre-programmed while the other 79 are modifiable phase-to-phase for exceptional versatility. INTELI is the perfect tool for maximising energy efficiency and controlling the consumption of water and chemicals, while still being highly intuitive for the end-user.
Girbau PS/PSP-51 dryer ironers are efficient, easy and very safe to use while offering high throughput and consistent ironing quality. Additional features unique to Girbau include the Autospeed function, which automatically adjusts ironing speed depending on the type of material and humidity. The kinematic strap tensioning system ensures consistent high quality ironing and a smooth finish.
Girbau UK's Pro Series II dryers are durable and energy efficient, with dual motors separately powering basket rotation and airflow. A robust belt drive system assures years of quiet, trouble-free use.
