Brayborne team goes the 'extra mile' to become a finalist in Golden Service Awards 2015

* Woodlands.jpgBrayborne Facilities Services has become a finalist in the Kimberly-Clark Professional Golden Service Awards 2015 - the biggest Awards programme for the UK cleaning industry.

Brayborne Facilities Services, one of the leading providers of cleaning and facilities services in the south east of England, has become a finalist in the 'Large Education Establishment' category for its work for the Woodlands Community College, Southampton. Woodlands is a co-educational facility for 11-16 year olds, specialising in science and engineering, which opened in the current buildings in 2003.

The ethos of going the 'extra mile,' is being rewarded for a small dedicated team of cleaners from Brayborne who are providing daily cleaning in all areas of the school including classrooms, art, design and technology rooms as well as science labs and IT suites.

Leading the Brayborne team at Woodlands is Shaneem Moss, who is also the manager responsible for the three Southampton schools managed by Interserve Facilities Management.

Shaneem works closely with all three schools ensuring that they receive a high quality service at all times. Pam Warner is the dedicated site supervisor at Woodlands who works closely with the college and Interserve staff on a daily basis as well as managing the cleaning team. The college also benefits from having Della Munday, the daytime housekeeper, on site, to ensure that the school remains clean and tidy throughout the day.

"As a school we have regular events such as parents' evenings and open days and we often host important visitors. Ofsted inspections give a snapshot of all aspects of the school including the appearance and cleanliness. Brayborne has helped us to create an excellent first impression and when I walk around Woodlands I can take pride in what I see.

"We are very pleased that Brayborne has become a finalist for these prestigious Awards. The cleaning team follow the example set by Shaneem and Pam who have an excellent work ethic and exceptional standards. They aren't afraid to give 110% to make sure the school is a great environment for pupils and teaching staff alike."

Brayborne Facilities Services was established in 1986 as Brayborne Cleaning Services and provides daily and specialist cleaning services to offices, shopping centres and schools across the south of England. With over 1,000 employed staff, the company offers a broad range of facilities services through trusted partner companies, as well as its existing core cleaning services.

Founded in 1991, the Golden Service Awards were set up to recognise outstanding achievements in the cleaning industry and the winners of the 2015 Awards will be announced at a glittering dinner on 23rd October 2015 at the London Hilton Hotel on Park Lane which will be attended by over 500 people.
