ISS wins IFS contract with Codelco Chile - the world's largest copper producer

* codelco.jpgISS Chile has been awarded an integrated facilities management contract by Codelco, for the world's largest copper producer's corporate headquarters in Santiago, with cleaning, security, maintenance, pest control, and support services adding 75 full-time employees.

ISS Chile currently offers security and cleaning services in several divisions within the company, employing 458 people.

"Codelco chose ISS over several other companies to deliver IFS at our corporate headquarters, because we see a great global company with years of experience and several renowned clients all over Chile," explains Orlando Caceres, head of maintenance & facility services Codelco Chile. "The company's solid technical proposal and our positive service experience with ISS in our other divisions was the determining factor."

Eduardo Rojas, country manager ISS Chile, says:

"The understanding of our customers' needs, the recommendations from current customers including other Codelco contracts and a very good technical proposal were key to closing the deal. We are proud that Codelco has chosen ISS to deliver cleaning, security, property and office support at its corporate headquarters. It will be great for positioning ISS as an IFS company in future bidding processes in Codelco."

Speaking of her expections with regard to the new arrangements, Paula Hojas, human resources manager Codelco Chile, says:

"We expect ISS to support our services and help us innovate and improve our standards, as well as increase the satisfaction of our internal clients. The greatest contribution to the success of the team is when we meet our goals and the best results are obtained when we work in a coordinated and integrated manner. We believe that it is everyone's responsibility to create a good working climate."
