CK Consumables success with 'Emirates 2'

* IP-CKC.jpgCKC repeats Emirates Open Day success and hosts AHCP meeting. London-based CK Consumables (CKC) has once again held its Open Day at the world famous Emirates stadium in North London, home of the Arsenal football club.

Building on the success of the inaugural event held last year, the Open Day was again supported by floor cleaning machine manufacturer TASKI, chemicals specialist Diversey, and leading British steam cleaning machine manufacturer Matrix.

* Lyn.jpgCK Consumables also hosted a meeting of the Southern Region branch of the Association of Health Care Providers, who were treated to presentations from Keith Baker, European Director of ISSA, the world-wide cleaning industry association; independent consultant Lyn Webster (pictured); as well as CK Group MD Ian Pether.

The event was again considered a great success, enabling CKC clients from a variety of sectors, not just healthcare, to see at first hand the large range of machines and chemicals available from CKC. Incidentally these are the self-same machines and chemicals that the cleaning division of the CK Group itself uses.

Many of the visitors also took advantage of the discount offer that had been made by CKC especially for the Open Day.

* TASKI-vac.jpgNew products and machines were also seen for the first time - with some interesting off the wall demonstrations (or should that be on the wall?) when Steve Ramsey of TASKI demonstrated the amazing suction power of the 61 litres per second Vento 8S tub vac by literally sticking it to the wall!

An impressive 99% of TASKI machines are recyclable and an ever-increasing percentage of components used in their manufacture are also from recycled materials. As the company puts it "Sustainability before we had to," referring to its policies dating from the mid 1930s.

The new range of TASKI carpet cleaning machines also attracted attention for their ergonomic and space-saving design.* MO-CKC.jpg

The impressive selection of steam cleaning machines available from Matrix are designed specifically for commercial or industrial use, with all-stainless steel bodies and boilers. "No plastic," commented national sales manager Mike Osiadacz.

"When you buy a steam cleaning machine you want it to be effective and you want it to be long-lasting," said Mike. He also told us of the long list of countries that Matrix is now exporting to.

It is likely that the CKC Open Day will now become an annual event, with plans for 2015 already under way.
