Tissue World Sao Paulo 2015 to serve South America market

* tissue-latin-am-market.jpgStrategically located in the thriving metropolis of Sao Paulo, Brazil, the Tissue World exhibition will delve into the growing and diversified tissue markets of Brazil and South America, with a particular focus on Colombia, Chile and Peru.

The exhibition and accompanying conference, which will cover the whole industry, from pulp production to distribution and retail channels, will take place from 20th - 22nd May 2015 at the Transamerica Expo Center.

Brazil is the largest producing country of tissue paper in Latin America, making up 32% (1.274 million metric tonnes) of the 3.978 million metric tonne Latin American market, with 38 operating T&T mills. Following years of double-digit sales growth in value terms, Brazil's tissue and hygiene markets slowed down in 2012 and 2013. However, sales of tissue and hygiene products are expected to continue showing steady growth in constant value terms while manufacturers are giving priority to value-added products and premium brands.

On a second tier level but increasingly important and growing, we find Colombia, Chile and Peru, which together represent 18% of the market.

One regular exhibitor, John Todd, global director Sarraf, Solenis, says: "We always look forward to participating at Tissue World events. It not only provides us an excellent opportunity to showcase our latest innovations but it is also a great time to interface with our customers to gain insight on the next set of challenges that we can help them address."

Another, Aleksandar Tomovic, sales director (Americas) of 9. Septembar Group, says:"We have noticed an increase of interest from South America for our tissue converting machines, and what better way to meet our clients and future clients than at Tissue World exhibit inSao Paulo, Brazil?"
