Hospital Trust renews £3.3m contract with Norse

Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital Trust (NNUHT) has renewed its facilities management contracts with Norse Commercial Services. The three-year contract (with the option of a further two year extension) is worth over £1.1 million a year to the Norwich based FM provider.

Norse has been the incumbent supplier since 2005. The agreement includes a wide range of facilities management services - cleaning, building maintenance, mechanical and engineering works, catering, portering, waste services, grounds maintenance, car park management and security.

"We are delighted to be continuing our long-standing relationship with NNUHT," says Dean Wetteland, Norse's FM Director. "Our facilities management division has expanded rapidly over the last few years and to be re-awarded such a prestigious contract is testimony to the commitment of our staff and the quality of our service delivery. We will continue to drive increased efficiencies through service innovation."

The portfolio of properties covered by the contract includes Cromer Hospital, the Cotman Centre, the Francis Centre, the six storey administration office building in Rouen Road Norwich and the Norwich Contraception and Sexual Health Clinic.

Norse Sales Director Geoff Tucker says that this major award follows Norse's recent successes in tendering for cleaning contracts in the educational sector, as well as for FM contracts in Devon, Yorkshire and Dorset, and that the company has added over £20 million of new business in the last six months.
