Vernon Holmes to seek new industry opportunities

Following the acquisition in March 2012 of Contico Manufacturing by Robert Scott & Sons it is with sadness that the company now announces the departure of Contico's Commercial Director, Vernon Holmes.

Vernon, who has been with Contico for the past 38 years has decided that, following the successful transition of ownership, the time is now right to move on and to look at new challenges for himself within the industry.

"I leave Contico on 30th June 2013 after 38 fantastic years with the company," he says. "Over the past 15 months I have done my best to professionally pass over the Contico business to the directors of Robert Scott and the time is now right for me to move on to new and hopefully exciting opportunities within the industry. The Contico brand is now in very safe hands and the future of the company secured."

Alastair Scott, Marketing & Sales Director, Robert Scott, adds:

"It has been a great pleasure to work alongside Vernon over the past 15 months; he has been invaluable in managing the transition of ownership and has worked tirelessly to contribute to the turn round of the Contico brand. We are very sorry to see Vernon go but understand his wish to look for new challenges and we wish him the very best in any new venture he pursues."

A major player in the professional janitorial sector for the past 40 years, Contico, from its premises in Redruth, Cornwall, continues to operate as a separate and distinct business from Robert Scott & Sons, providing one of the largest ranges of professional janitorial products in Europe.
