Optimise your workforce at Service Management Expo 2013

Organisers of Service Management Expo 2013 have today revealed detailed educational schedule for its Field Services Theatre, hosting conference quality seminars, workshops and industry debates across three days.

Service Management Expo, said to be Europe's only dedicated event for the field service market, takes place at Birmingham's NEC from 14th -16th May this year as part of the Facilities Show, providing a plethora of education, innovation and solutions for anyone working across service management, logistics, fleet management, facilities, operations, finance and IT.

Integral to the Service Management Expo is the Field Services Theatre, sponsored by IFS UK, hosting a range of speakers and sessions from the leading companies and experts within the sector. Confirmed participants include Greg Legg, Mobile Solutions Architect from PHS Group who will look at how to empower the mobile worker to deliver reliable services using a recent case study, Andrew Gedny from ByBox who will present on the company's recent work with Carillion on its intelligent locker network, which changed the way parts are delivered and returned, leading to significant cost savings.

Ian Mapp, Vice President at IFS360 will host two separate sessions within the Field Services Theatre looking at 'The science and art of equipment service' and asking: 'The pursuit of 100% perfect service delivery, a target too far?' These two sessions will provide valuable insight into outperforming your competitors and winning in today's tough field service market.

Additional speakers include Nassar Hussain from SOTI, Adrian Jones at Zafire, Lizze Hollins from Deloitte and Marc Tonen from Astea, along with many others. On the second day Steve Downton, the Managing Director for leading edge 'customer relationship management consultant' Downton Consulting, will run a full day's programme in The Field Services Management Theatre. Topics throughout the day will include current trends, culture and its importance in the successful implementation of a service solution and numerous case studies covering scheduling, logistics, mobile platform introduction and field and call centre integration.

Service Management Expo 2013 will also offer a valuable opportunity for visitors to meet more than 30 specialist exhibitors showcasing the latest technologies, products and services from key areas including: Service Management Software & Systems, Workforce Optimisation & Scheduling, Tracking, GPS & Fleet Management, Mobile Communication & Hardware, Logistics & Distribution.

Key participants this year include Tesseract who will showcase the latest version of its browser-based service management system. This is now browser independent and will be demonstrated on a range of tablets as well as laptops. Also on show will be Diary Assist, the Tesseract service optimisation module together with the company's Remote Engineer Access module. Telogis, the premium provider of Location-Based-Services to enterprises across the globe, will be demonstrating its scalable, Software as a Service (SaaS) platform that helps companies optimise business operations and manage their global workforce effectively through GPS location technology.

Other exhibitors leading the way in the industry include Solarvista, Zafire, Excel Computer Systems, Motion Computing, Psion (UK) and Panasonic Computer Product Solutions, amongst many others.

Unique ID, a leading provider of maintenance and technical services for Auto ID equipment and systems, will host a demonstration vehicle showcasing the latest solutions addressing all areas of field service and enterprise mobility solutions. Preview products and solutions from market leaders in the industry and Unique ID's own Charge & Store cabinets, MAC workstations, ID Suite software solution, labelling media, lone worker solutions, vehicle tracking devices, security (RFID) solutions, and much more will be on display in a customised lorry making an appearance at this year's Service Management Expo.

This key industry event is also part of Protection & Management Week which incorporates the leading annual safety and health event, Safety & Health Expo, offering crucial expertise on health & safety best practice within the workplace and new for this year it will host the brand new Business Driver Safety Zone, presented by Fleet21 and Honda. Additionally, the world's largest annual event for the security industry, IFSEC International and FIREX International - an event dedicated to providing solutions for fire protection, prevention and detection, run alongside.
