The High Seas Hobbit toilet wins the 2012 Lepicol Home Throne Award
Rather timely when one considers that the British premiere of The Hobbit took place last night, but this fun toilet in a whisky barrel won this exciting new award at last week's Loo of the Year Awards.
Entered by Matthew and Carol Short, farmers who live in Frazerburgh, north of Aberdeen, it was judged to be the best 'Home Throne' toilet.
The award was presented by radio and TV's Dr Hilary Jones at the 2012 Loo of the Year Awards which was attended by over 350 guests last Friday. Star of 'Live at the Apollo', 'Have I got News for You' and 'QI', Shappi Khorsandi, provided the after lunch entertainment.
Matthew and Carole enjoyed two nights' complimentary accommodation and dinners courtesy of the hotel and assistance with their travel to the event from headline sponsor Lepicol and the Loo of the Year Awards.
