Demon success with Hurricane Combi pressure washer

Launched at IOG Saltex last year, Demon's Hurricane Combi is proving hugely popular with a range of industries and with cleaning and facilities management companies, local authorities, sports arenas and marinas.

The Combi was born from the success of two products, the Hurricane Pressure Washer and Rotowash Professional floor cleaner, already manufactured by Demon.

The Combi comes complete with twin spinning arms which rotate at 2000rpm and a 50mm heavy duty skirt which eliminates overspray to anything nearby - essential when cleaning in urban areas - and is designed for cleaning flat surfaces, including pontoons, slipways, walkways, roads, car parks and sports grounds etc. It is manufactured with an integral pressure washer, either a Hurricane P2 providing 2200psi at 13 litres per minute or with the option of a Hurricane P4 at 2900psi at 15 litres per minute. It now has the added benefit of a vacuum port, which enables water to be sucked up after use with an appropriate industrial vacuum and a folding handle for ease of transporting.

The Combi glides effortlessly over any surface, minimising operator fatigue, with grey non-marking rubber wheels which are ideal for most flat surfaces. Due to the power of the pressure washer and the spinning arms, operators benefit from cleaning surfaces in a fraction of the time.

Another huge benefit is that the Combi will also work as a standalone pressure washer when the lance is attached. There is also the option of a chewing gum removal lance and the EMIS - Environmental Media Injection System - which is designed to accurately dispense fine grade blast media such as Armex, to improve cleaning of difficult surfaces or where more aggressive cleaning is required (which can be an ideal solution for graffiti removal).

"It has been great to see companies both nationally and internationally purchasing the Combi as they can clearly see the huge advantage having two options with the machine," says David Walke, Sales Director at Demon. "We are delighted that it will also be featured in National Hire Company Catalogues in 2013. The Combi is already being used at the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange for cleaning the marble - it really has gone global."

The Hurricane Combi has already been identified as an 'innovative' product; coming runner up in the Executive Hire Show's Innovation Awards in February and was shortlisted for the British Institute of Facilities Management, Innovation in Product Award.
