Nviro wins Employer of the Year award

South East cleaning and FM specialist Nviro has had its work with new graduates recognised by Smart Training & Recruitment, which recently awarded it the title 'Employer of the Year.'

This award demonstrates Nviro's dedication in the marketplace, as well as showing that it is more than just a cleaning company, since it really helps those who are taking their first steps on the career ladder.

Nviro won the Smart award after becoming an Accredited Training Organisation for the British Institute of Cleaning Science, as well as providing a robust induction and training programme. Nviro believes it is imperative to offer employees comprehensive training, despite the economic downturn.
"We're incredibly pleased to be recognised for our contribution to the marketplace and to win this award, as we believe in developing our employees at all levels," says Nviro's Training & Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality Manager, Charlotte Sleven.

"In addition to this, we have worked with Smart to employ a number of apprentices. As part of our policy on employment, Nviro, a subsidiary of the Quarr Group, has looked at the ways in which we can help to encourage growth within the South East area job market. The Quarr Group created the policy which encourages its companies to create opportunities for school leavers and young people struggling to find work.

"Being recognised for our dedication to training and development is something that we can really be proud of, as our employees make us who we are."

Nviro is keen to promote NVQs for its operatives and has had a number of employees complete the Cleaning & Support Services NVQ, which has been a great motivator, as well as completing BICSc qualifications.

Every day Nviro cleans 1,400,000sqm of floor space for more than 130 public and private sector organisations covering 600 sites across London and the South of England.
